PAISANA

Nominated to the International Design Awards (IDA)

Disciplines:
Brand Identity, Packaging, Ad Campaign

The profile of the Peruvian of our Mountain range and hardworking woman is of humble, disciplined, and determined origin. We Peruvians recognize this woman as "paisana", which is interpreted as an expression of affection to allude to the Peruvian by blood and with pride. From this concept, our brand Paisana was born, and what a joy! Paisana offers a variety of alpaca outfits, from shawls and sleepers to sweaters, of the finest quality. Alpacas, native to the Peruvian Andes, are a species of camel with fine and heavy wool that makes it ideal for clothing.

Paisana’s designs include the latest collections of Alpaca garments for men and women. Paisana believes in Fair Trade and supports local alpaca farmers and designers to earn a fair income. The objective is to create an authentic, elegant, and delicate identity for Paisana. The branding will be used for the logos (principal and secondary), and then for the Instagram account and print items. This includes a logotype, typefaces, a colorful but elegant color palette, and other visual elements. In fact, the colors for this brand are fundamental since our country is characterized by being colorful and vivid.

I brought together the idea of workmanship, quality, and textiles in a single identity so that potential clients can capture our concept through a clear and precise image.

BRAND IDENTITY

PACKAGE DESIGN

Inside this bag, there is a doll representing the Peruvian woman, which is holding a card that talks about her life.  The garment would be wrapped in a tissue paper that is designed by a compilation of the main elements that define us as Peruvians and our environment.
